China's excavator sale in Mar rise 16% from year earlier

Sales grew 15.7% from a year ago to 44,278 units in Mar

SHANGHAI, Apr 9 (SMM) – Excavator sales in China grew 15.7% from a year ago to stand at 44,278 units in March, according to the Excavation Machinery Branch under China Construction Machinery Association.

The top 25 excavator makers sold 74,779 units in the first three months of 2019, up 24.5% year on year.

Sales of digging machines are usually driven by growth in mining and infrastructure development.
