SHANGHAI, Apr 4 (SMM) – Social inventories of silicon metal across Huangpu port, Kunming city, and Tianjin port decreased 12,000 mt from a week ago to stand at 64,000 mt as of Thursday April 4, SMM data showed. This compared to a decline of 2,000 mt in the previous week.
Fewer arrivals to warehouses at ports accounted for the lower inventories. Shipments leaving warehouses at Tianjin port increased this week as the delivery date approached. This considerably dragged on stocks at Lizheng and Weiwang warehouses in Tianjin this week, with the amount of pledged goods also shrinking.
