Stable recovery of consumption lowers zinc social inventories

Limited seaborne arrivals also accounted for the lower stocks over the weekend

SHANGHAI, Apr 1 (SMM) – Social inventories of refined zinc across Shanghai, Guangdong and Tianjin shrank by 1,900 mt from Friday March 29 and by 5,500 mt from Monday March 25 to stand at 210,500 mt as of Monday April 1, SMM data showed.

Stable recovery of downstream consumption continued to expand shipments from social warehouses. This, together with limited seaborne arrivals, accounted for the lower stocks.
