SHANGHAI, Mar 27 (SMM) – Seventy-two models of new energy vehicles (NEVs) were withdrawn from the catalogue of cars exempt from vehicle purchase tax, said the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on its website on Tuesday March 26.
Thirty-eight carmakers, including BAIC Group, BYD, Dongfeng Motor, and Lifan Group, were involved in the adjustment.
No production or sales were registered for the 72 models over the past 12 months, since the 16th edition of the list was released in February 2018.
