SHFE copper inventories fall for 1st time since CNY

SHANGHAI, Mar 22 (SMM) – Copper stocks across SHFE-approved warehouses this week fell for the first time since the Chinese New Year holiday.

Stocks declined 5,400 mt from a week ago to stand at about 260,000 mt as of Friday March 22, SMM data showed.

As of last Friday March 15, SHFE copper inventories stood at 265,000 mt, up about 85% from 143,000 mt on February 1, the last Friday before the CNY break.
