SHANGHAI, Mar 22 (SMM) – China's aluminium producer Shanxi Chinalco Huarun planned to launch primary aluminium capacity of 125,000 mt by the end of March, a source told SMM.

The plant currently operates with an annualised capacity of 125,000 mt, and sets to eventually expand its capacity in the phase-one project into 432,000 mt.

It operated with the electricity price of 0.286 yuan/kWh, SMM learned as of Thursday March 21.
