SHANGHAI, Mar 21 (SMM) – Prices of high-quality silicon metals inched up in China as supply tightened after large aluminium producers overseas completed purchasing bids.
SMM research found that 2202# silicon metal in Fujian traded higher at 14,300 yuan/mt ex-factory as of Thursday March 21.
Traded prices of 553# silicon metal that did not undergo oxygen-refining fell to 11,000 yuan/mt as orders remained tepid.
