SHANGHAI, Mar 19 (SMM) – China’s top steelmaking city, Tangshan of Hebei province, came in fourth from last for air quality in 169 cities last year, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) said.
Handan city, another steelmaking hub in Hebei was fifth from last. Shanxi’s Linfen city, a coal-producing hub, performed worst in 2018.
Shijiazhuang, Xingtai, Anyang, Taiyuan, Baoding, Xianyang, Jincheng were part of the 10 cities with the worst air quality last year.
