Inventories of aluminium billet nudge up on week

This came after smaller arrivals lowered stocks by 17,800 mt week on week on Feb 28

SHANGHAI, Mar 7 (SMM) – Stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas in China expanded this week with varying consumption in markets.

As of Thursday March 7, inventories accumulated 4,300 mt from a week ago to stand at 151,000 mt, SMM data showed. This came after smaller arrivals lowered stocks by 17,800 mt week on week on Thursday February 28.

Details:

Foshan, Guangdong – 88,600 mt

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 25,000 mt

Changzhou, Jiangsu – 22,000 mt

Huzhou, Zhejiang – 10,000 mt

Nanchang, Jiangxi – 5,400 mt

SMM data showed that aluminium billet stocks across the five major consumption areas — Foshan, Wuxi, Huzhou, Changzhou and Nanchang — in China decreased 1.5% or 2,500 mt from a week ago to 162,800 mt as of Thursday April 22.
