SHANGHAI, Mar 6 (SMM) – China’s top steelmaking city, Tangshan of Hebei province, will continue to implement levelⅠemergency measures against heavy air pollution which was originally scheduled to halt from CST 8:00 on March 6, according to a notice issued on Tuesday March 5.
The notice did not mention when to suspend this round of anti-smog measures.
Heavy industries across the city will also face strict air pollution control measures in March.
For steel mills, those who passed ultra-low emission equipment checks and met emission standards can keep their sintering machines or shaft furnaces working. Otherwise, they would be required to suspend sintering machines and shaft furnaces.
