SHANGHAI, Mar 6 (SMM) – Shandong Fengyuan Lithium Energy Technology, under Shandong Fengyuan Chemical, will expand its capacity of cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries to 10,000 mt this year, the parent company announced on Thursday February 28.
An annualised capacity of 3,000 mt lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and 2,000 mt NCM523 ternary materials is currently under operation.
The company aimed to eventually expand its capacity of LFP to 10,000 mt and ternary materials to 5,000 mt, SMM learned.
