SHANGHAI, Feb 26 (SMM) – Zhengzhou in China's central province of Henan ordered a suspension of construction across the city from Tuesday February 26, after the province escalated smog-alert to the most severe level on Monday February 25.
Industrial enterprises and green, livelihood projects approved for production were excluded from the restrictions. Constriction work will resume when the red alert is lifted.

Except for Songyue Carbon that was farther from the urban areas, carbon mills in Zhengzhou remained closed as of Monday February 25. The suspension started in November when plants were required to undergo winter rectification.
