Industrial enterprises and green, livelihood projects approved for production were excluded from the restrictions. Constriction work will resume when the red alert is lifted.

The air pollution alert will also extend suspension of prebaked anode producers in Zhengzhou city. Except for Songyue Carbon that was farther from the urban areas, carbon mills in Zhengzhou remained closed as of Monday February 25. The suspension started in November when plants were required to undergo winter rectification.
