Songhe Recycling Resources’ lead recycling project in Xinhe county begins construction

The project can treat 300,000 mt of retired batteries and lead-containing waste per year

SHANGHAI, Feb 25 (SMM) – The construction of Songhe Recycling Resources’ lead recycling project in Xinhe county of Hebei province began on Saturday February 23, SMM learned.

The project, operated by Xingtai Songhe Environmental Technology, a subsidiary of the Hebei-based Songhe Recycling Resources, can treat 300,000 mt of retired batteries and lead-containing waste per year.

After commissining, the project will produce 200,000 mt of secondary lead and lead alloy and 45,000 mt of plastic raw materials per year. This would be the largest firm in the treatment of lead-bearing waste in China.
