Yunnan Aluminium to commission new capacity at Heqing, Zhaotong plants in Mar

This will raise capacity of the Zhaotong project to an annualised 200,000 mt

SHANGHAI, Feb 19 (SMM) – Yunnan Aluminium's primary aluminium projects at Heqing and Zhaotong plants will each commission 100,000 mt of capacity by the start of March, SMM learned on Monday February 18.

This will raise the capacity of the Zhaotong project to an annualised 200,000 mt, given its current capacity of 100,000 mt/year under operation.

The Heqing plant, currently without operating capacity, will see more capacity totalling 210,000 mt/year coming online by the first half of 2019.
