Primary aluminium inventories gain over weekend

Stocks came in at 1.65 million mt as of Monday Feb 18, up 33,000 mt from Thursday Feb 14

SHANGHAI, Feb 18 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, came in at 1.65 million mt as of Monday February 18, up 33,000 mt from Thursday February 14, SMM data showed.

Details:

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 618,000 mt

Shanghai – 313,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 311,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 141,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 149,000 mt

Tianjin – 53,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 29,000 mt

Chongqing –36,000 mt

Social inventories of lead ingots across Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Tianjin expanded 13,600 mt from last Friday July 23 to 172,600 mt as of July 30. This was up 6,500 mt from Monday July 26 and registered a new high since October 2014.
