Hebei to combat waste lead-acid battery pollution

Investigations and rectifications will occur Jan 1-Apr 30, while pilot construction is slated for May 1-Dec 31

SHANGHAI, Feb 18 (SMM) – Hebei province launched a fresh round of rectifications to reduce the pollution of waste lead-acid battery, according to a statement on the website of the Hebei government on January 29.

The province will also target five illegal activities, to prevent pollution in the collecting, storage, delivery, and treatment of waste lead batteries.

Investigations and rectifications will occur during January 1-April 30, while pilot construction is slated for May 1 to December 31.
