SHANGHAI, Feb 14 (SMM) – China exported 6.19 million mt of steel products in January, standing 632,000 mt higher than December and 33.3% higher than January 2018, showed data from China Customs on Thursday February 14.
Last month, imports of steel products also increased by 173,000 mt from December to stand at 1.18 million mt. This declined 1.0% on a yearly basis.
For the same period, about 91.26 million of iron ore and concentrate entered China, up 4.62 million mt from December, but down 9.1% from January 2018.
In January, China exported some 716,000 mt of coke, down 402,000 mt on the month but up 4.4% on the year.
