Lead concentrate TCs remain flat in tight market

As of Friday Feb 1, TCs for lead concentrate (Pb 50%) were heard at 1,800-2,000 yuan/mt in Henan province

SHANGHAI, Feb 1 (SMM) – A tight market saw treatment charges (TCs) for lead concentrate remain flat on the week ended Friday February 1, the last week prior to CNY.

This week, transactions cooled as traders and downstream consumers began their CNY breaks.

As of Friday February 1, TCs for lead concentrate (Pb 50%) were heard at 1,800-2,000 yuan/mt in Henan province, at 1,600-1,800 yuan/mt in Hunan and Yunnan provinces, at 1,900-2,100 yuan/mt in Inner Mongolia, and at 1,600-1,700 yuan/mt in Guangxi province.

Charges, in lead metal content, all changed little on the week.

The domestic secondary crude lead market experienced sluggish transactions. As of February 6, 2026, the ex-factory tax-exclusive offers for domestic secondary crude lead stood at 15,250-15,400 yuan/mt. Downstream refined lead and alloy smelters gradually entered the holiday period, showing weak stockpiling willingness. Overseas lead ingot suppliers basically halted transactions with China due to poor consumption in the Chinese market, with only some previously concluded shipments maintaining normal in-transit transportation. The trading atmosphere in the secondary crude lead market will continue to weaken next week.
