China’s production, sale of NEVs to exceed 1.5 million in 2019: MIIT

China’s automobile sector will be propelled through enhanced development in NEVs as well as intelligent network cars

SHANGHAI, Jan 30 (SMM) – Production and sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) across China are likely to exceed 1.5 million units in 2019, said Dong Dajian, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's deputy head of the information and software services department on Tuesday January 29.

China’s automobile sector will be propelled through enhanced development in NEVs as well as smart cars

Dong said that the MIIT will cooperate with other relevant departments and continue to implement the management method for average fuel consumption of passenger car companies and point calculation method of NEVs.
