China's exports of aluminium plate/sheet, strip in Nov increased 4% from Oct and 53% from Nov 2017, to 242,300 mt

SHANGHAI, Jan 7 (SMM) – China's exports of aluminium plate/sheet, strip in November increased 4% from October and 53% from November 2017, to 242,300 mt, according to data from China Customs.

In November, exports of aluminium foil also grew 8.8% on the month and 24.3% on the year to stand at 114,200 mt.

Higher value-added tax (VAT) rebates on aluminium products from November and lower SHFE/LME price ratios buoyed exports in November. Concerns among overseas buyers about additional tariffs also accounted for the higher exports.

Also for November, imports of aluminium plate/sheet and strip stood at 17,600 mt, and imports of aluminium foil at 5,400 mt.
