China’s air-conditioner Nov domestic sales down 13% compared to a year earlier

SHANGHAI, Dec 29 (SMM) – Total sales of household air-conditioners in China reached 9 million units in November, up 10.3% from a year earlier, according to information provided by industrial consulting firm ChinaIOL.

For the same month, production of household air-conditioners inched up 0.3% year on year to come in at 9.21 million units.

However, sales in the domestic market, standing at 5.09 million units in November, registered a year-over-year decline of 12.56%.

This, together with high inventories across the air-conditioner sector, dimmed the outlooks for shipments.
