DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightSHANGHAI, Dec 26 (SMM) – China's first battery energy storage demonstration project received approval for construction in Gansu province, according to a notice issued by National Energy Administration on Monday December 24.
Located in the cities of Jiuquan, Jiayuguan, Weiwu, and Zhangye, the project is designed with 720 MWH for the first phase. Phase-one construction, with investment of 1.2 billion yuan, will complete in 2019.
Upon completion, the Gansu station will become the largest commercial energy storage virtual power plant in China, SMM learned.
