Increased arrivals slow declines in inventories of primary aluminium

Stocks came in at 1.276 million mt as of Monday Dec 24, down 4,000 mt from Thursday Dec 20

SHANGHAI, Dec 24 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, came in at 1.276 million mt as of Monday December 24, down 4,000 mt from Thursday December 20, SMM data showed.

More arrivals from smelters slowed decline over the weekend, which compared to a drop of 18,000 mt last Monday

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 525,000 mt

Shanghai – 317,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 146,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 75,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 111,000 mt

Tianjin – 55,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 24,000 mt

Chongqing – 23,000 mt
