SHANGHAI, Dec 24 (SMM) – China exported 285,700 mt of alumina in November, down 37.9% from October, showed data from China Customs.
For the same month, alumina imports came in at 10,000 mt, bringing net exports to 275,700 mt, compared to net imports of 206,400 mt recorded in November of 2017.
In January-November, alumina exports amounted to 1.28 million mt with net exports of 820,100 mt, versus net imports of 2.67 million mt in the same period last year.
Customs data also showed that China imported 8.1 million mt of bauxite in November, up 22.64% month on month and 38.14% year on year.
This grew bauxite imports in January-November to 79.6 million mt, up 29.2% compared to a year earlier.
