SHANGHAI, Dec 20 (SMM) – Orders did not pick up across Chinese silicon exports with Christmas aorund the corner.
Recent export orders were poorer than previous years, SMM learned.
This, together with postponed delivery date of some orders, prompted exporters to be cautious in purchasing silicon.
SMM assessments showed that 553# silicon that underwent oxygen-refining traded at 11,600-11,700 yuan/mt at Tianjin port today, barely changed from Wednesday December 19.
