Limited arrivals, destocking at sellers lower aluminium billet stocks

Stocks shrank some 11,900 mt over the week ended Thursday Dec 20 to stand at 108,600 mt

SHANGHAI, Dec 20 (SMM) – Stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas in China shrank some 11,900 mt over the week ended Thursday December 20 to stand at 108,600 mt, SMM data showed.

Smaller arrivals, together with sellers destocking at the year end accounted for the decline. This followed after fewer purchases for building materials expanded inventories by 2,600 mt last week.

Details:

Foshan, Guangdong – 61,000 mt

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 14,500 mt

Changzhou, Jiangsu – 13,000 mt

Huzhou, Zhejiang – 6,600 mt

Nanchang, Jiangxi – 13,500 mt
