SHANGHAI, Dec 18 (SMM) – Chinese steel mills churned out 18.57 million mt of rebar in November, down 2.9% from October but up 10.14% from November 2017, showed data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Monday December 18.
This grew rebar output in January-November to 190.87 million mt, some 2.62% higher than the same period last year.
Output of wire rods came in at 13.16 million mt last month, down 1.18% month on month but up 24.39% year on year. In January-November, this output amounted to 132.72 million mt, up 9.04% compared to a year earlier.
