Weekly iron ore seaborne arrivals at Chinese ports to decline

About 10.04 million mt of iron ore are expected to arrive at major Chinese ports in the week ended Dec 20

SHANGHAI, Dec 17 (SMM) – Seventy vessels carrying 10.04 million mt of iron ore are expected to arrive at major Chinese ports in the week ended December 20, down 440,000 mt from the week ended December 6, SMM data showed.

There was no data recorded for the week ended December 13.

While some small ports along the Yangtze River will receive greater arrivals, cargoes arriving at all major ports are likely to dip this week.

For the same week, iron ore shipments departing Australian ports are expected to decrease by 170,000 mt to 15.91 million mt, while those leaving Brazilian ports are likely to increase by 430,000 mt to 7.82 million mt.
