Some 2,700 mt of aluminium scrap imports approved in 24th batch

Total approved aluminium scrap imports in 25 batches this year so far dipped 98.31% from volumes approved last year

SHANGHAI, Dec 11 (SMM) – Some 2,700 mt of aluminium scrap across three companies received the green light in the 24th batch of approvals for restricted solid scrap imports, according to the release by the solid waste management centre of China's Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) on November 16.

Total approved aluminium scrap imports in the 26 batches in 2018 registered 19,996 mt, down more than 90% from the volumes approved in 11 batches last year. 

The three companies that received approvals were Foshan Nanhai District Danzao Economy & Trade Innovation, Zhaoqing Jinhailuo Secondary Products, and Guangxi Wuzhou Tongbao Secondary Recourses (Wuzhou Processing Park).
