SHANGHAI, Dec 11 (SMM) – Sales of passenger vehicles in China declined for six consecutive months as of November, data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) showed on Monday December 10. This marked the first six straight months of decline in 26 years.
CPCA data showed that about 2.02 million passenger cars were sold in November, down 18% from November 2017. This lowered sales in January-November in 2018 by 4% year on year to 20.15 million units.
However, sales of new-energy passenger vehicles increased 57.8% from November 2017, to stand at 129,000 units last month, according to the data.
