SHANGHAI, Dec 6 (SMM) – Anhui steelmaker Maanshan Iron & Steel, also known as Magang, settled the purchasing price of manganese flake for its December tender at 13,350 yuan/mt earlier this week, SMM learned.

This is 16.3%, or 2,600 yuan/mt, lower than its November tender. The price would be paid in acceptance and includes transport costs and tax.

Procurement volume for Magang’s December tender stood at 660 mt.

Earlier this week, Hebei Iron and Steel Group (HBIS Group), also known as Hesteel Group or Hegang, also settled its purchasing prices of manganese flake and manganese metal ingot for its December tender at 13,440 yuan/mt and 14,060 yuan/mt, respectively, tender fee included.

Excluding tender fee, the prices came in at 12,900 yuan/mt for manganese flake with procurement volume of 800 mt, and 13,500 yuan/mt for manganese metal ingot with procurement volume of 1,530 mt.

The price would be paid in acceptance and includes transport costs and tax.
