New copper-gold deposit discovered in Anhui

The deposit has some 660,000 mt of industrial grade copper resources and 84 mt of gold resources

SHANGHAI, Dec 5 (SMM) – A new copper-gold deposit with 660,000 mt of industrial grade copper resources and 84 mt of gold resources, both in metal content, was discovered in the Wanjiang city belt of Anhui province, the Department of Natural Resources of Anhui announced on Tuesday December 4.

The mine has an average copper grade of 0.54%, and an average gold grade of 0.69 g/mt.

The local mineral exploration bureau discovered the mine after 10 years of prospecting. The mineral reserves evaluation centre of Anhui checked and approved the mine in November.
