Social inventories of primary aluminium extend decline amid supply cuts

SHANGHAI, Dec 3 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, came in at 1.367 million mt as of Monday December 3, down some 19,000 mt from Thursday November 29, SMM data showed.

Social warehouses saw fewer shipments arrive over the weekend as producers cut their output. This mainly accounted for the decline in inventories.

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 571,000 mt

Shanghai – 338,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 184,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 81,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 95,000 mt

Tianjin – 52,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 23,000 mt

Chongqing – 23,000 mt
