Slow consumption grows aluminium billet inventories on week

Inventories gained some 3,400 mt over the week ended Thursday Nov 29 to stand at 121,000 mt

SHANGHAI, Nov 29 (SMM) – Stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas in China increased some 3,400 mt over the week ended Thursday November 29 to stand at 121,000 mt, SMM data showed.

Weak downstream demand on the week accounted for the increase, SMM learned.

Details:

Foshan, Guangdong – 69,200 mt

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 17,500 mt

Changzhou, Jiangsu – 13,000 mt

Huzhou, Zhejiang – 3,500 mt

Nanchang, Jiangxi – 17,800 mt
