Primary aluminium social stocks decrease over weekend

Stocks came in at 1.411 million mt as of Monday Nov 26, down some 13,000 mt from Thursday Nov 22

SHANGHAI, Nov 26 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, came in at 1.411 million mt as of Monday November 26, down some 13,000 mt from Thursday November 22, SMM data showed.

Limited shipments arrived at social warehouses over the weekend and this accounted for the decline in stocks.

Details:

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 601,000 mt

Shanghai – 340,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 189,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 80,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 99,000 mt

Tianjin – 54,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 24,000 mt

Chongqing – 24,000 mt

Social inventories of lead ingots across Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Tianjin expanded 13,600 mt from last Friday July 23 to 172,600 mt as of July 30. This was up 6,500 mt from Monday July 26 and registered a new high since October 2014.
