Primary aluminium social stocks extend decline with limited arrivals

Social inventories of primary aluminium came in at 1.424 million mt as of Thursday Nov 22, down some 29,000 mt from a week ago

SHANGHAI, Nov 22 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, came in at 1.424 million mt as of Thursday November 22, down some 29,000 mt from a week ago, SMM data showed.

Social warehouses continued to see limited arrivals this week and this accounted for the decline in stocks.

Details:

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 609,000 mt

Shanghai – 342,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 200,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 76,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 97,000 mt

Tianjin – 50,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 25,000 mt

Chongqing – 25,000 mt

SMM data showed that social inventories of refined zinc ingots across Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong and Hebei increased 1,700 mt from last Friday July 9 to 122,000 mt as of Monday July 12. The stocks were up 6,200 mt from July 5.
