DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsConsultingSHANGHAI, Nov 21 (SMM) – Most plants that produce 553# silicon, which did not undergo oxygen-refining, in Liangshan and Ya'an of Sichuan province suspended output in a falling market, SMM research found.
Plants that remained in operation have just one furnace running and plan to completely suspend after electricity tariffs are adjusted this weekend.
SMM assessments showed that prices of 553# silicon, without being oxygen-refined, averaged 11,550 yuan/mt at Huangpu port as of November 21, down 600 yuan/mt, or some 5%, from 12,150 yuan/mt on November 1.
