SHANGHAI, Nov 19 (SMM) – As of Monday November 19, refining charges (RCs) for imported blister copper were mostly offered at lower levels from the average price in 2018, as Jiangxi Copper and Antofagasta set the 2019 copper concentrate TC in their long-term contracts at a lower $80.8/mt last Thursday.
Imported blister copper RCs were mostly offered at $145-155/mt cif as of Monday, compared with the average $160-170/mt for 2018. The charges stood at 1,400-1,600 yuan/mt for domestic cargoes delivered to plants. This compared with October’s RCs of 1,600-1,700 yuan/mt.
Transactions were thin on Monday, SMM learned.
