Production cuts lower primary aluminium social stocks

Stocks came in at 1.438 million mt as of Monday Nov 19, down some 15,000 mt from Thursday Nov 15

SHANGHAI, Nov 19 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, came in at 1.438 million mt as of Monday November 19, down some 15,000 mt from Thursday November 15, SMM data showed.

Losses across aluminium smelters accelerated production cuts and lowered arrivals in the market.

Details:

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 613,000 mt

Shanghai – 345,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 207,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 75,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 97,000 mt

Tianjin – 51,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 25,000 mt

Chongqing – 25,000 mt
