DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsConsultingSHANGHAI, Nov 9 (SMM) – China's imports of copper concentrate this year is likely to rise 15-20% from that in 2017, SMM expects based on currently available customs data.
While imports in January-October grew 19% on the year to stand at 16.56 million mt, slower consumption in the fourth quarter this year will lower the average growth rate.
The country imported some 1.57 million mt of copper concentrate in October, up 14.76% from a year ago, showed China Customs data released on Thursday November 8.
