Report: Henan firms invest in green aluminium project in Sichuan

The phase-one project received investment of 2.3 billion yuan, with 1.8 billion yuan for aluminium production

SHANGHAI, Nov 7 (SMM) – Henan Zhongfu Industrial and Henan Linzhou Linfeng Aluminum & Power signed an agreement on November 7 to construct an environmentally-friendly aluminium project in Guangyuan city of Sichuan province.

The phase-one project is likely to receive 2.3 billion yuan of investment, with 1.8 billion yuan going to aluminium production. Annual capacity of the project is planned at 250,000 mt of aluminium, 200,000 mt of aluminium billets and 50,000 mt of cast-rolling sheets.

Construction will start this month, and production is expected in September 2019.
