Four Songtao manganese producers to resume output from Nov 1

Wuling Manganese, Sanhe Manganese, Jinrui Manganese and Huifeng Manganese are on the list

SHANGHAI, Oct 31 (SMM) – Four manganese producers and three miners in Songtao, Guizhou province, received governmental approval to resume operation from November 1, SMM learned from the official notice by the environmental protection bureau of Songtao Miao Autonomous County on Tuesday October 30.

Wuling Manganese, Sanhe Manganese, Jinrui Manganese and Huifeng Manganese, who have passed environmental checks by the bureau, are on the list.

All manganese plants and some miners in Songtao suspended operation from late May after water and soil pollution in the area, caused by untreated manganese residue, received much media coverage.
