Sep export of aluminium alloy wheels up 4.5% YoY

Exports amounted to $411 million, up 13.2% from a year ago. Export prices averaged $4.77/kg

SHANGHAI, Oct 30 (SMM) – China's export of aluminium alloy auto wheels in September gained 4.5% on the year to 86,100 mt, showed data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

Exports in September amounted to $411 million, up 13.2% from a year ago. Export prices averaged $4.77/kg, according to CAAM data.

From January to September, China exported 727,800 mt of aluminium alloy auto wheels, up 5.8% from last year, with value of the exports at $3,519 million, up 10.9% from a year ago. Export prices averaged $4.83/kg during the first nine months of this year.

In January-September, Chinese aluminium alloy auto wheels exported to 164 countries, with the top 40 countries accounting for 97.8% of the overall value of exports.
