SHANGHAI, Oct 18 (SMM) – The China Shipbuilding Capacity Utilization Monitoring Index (CCI) dipped 1.6% in the third quarter of the year and came in at 601. This is down 8.1% from a year ago, showed data from the China Association of The National Shipbuilding Industry (CANSI) on Thursday October 18.
CANSI expects the CCI for the fourth quarter to rebound as demand improves across the shipping industry.
The CCI reflects the extent of China's shipbuilding capacity utilisation and predicts future capacity utilisation.
