SHANGHAI, Oct 17 (SMM) – Sales and production of automobiles in September extended their weak performance from July, showed data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
Last month, production of cars stood at 2.356 million units, down 11.7% from a year ago but up 17.8% from August; sales came in at 2.394 million units, down 11.6% on the year but up 13.8% on the month. Inventory pressure eased across manufacturers, SMM learned.
