SHANGHAI, Oct 15 (SMM) – Some 11,518 mt of copper scrap, across four companies, received approval in the 21st and latest batch of approvals for restricted solid scrap imports, according to the release last week by the solid waste management centre of China's Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE).
The 21st batch of approvals brought total approved copper scrap imports this year to 914,800 mt, down some 70% from the volumes approved in 11 batches last year.
Three of the four companies are located in Ningbo and Taizhou of Zhejiang province and the other is located in Yantai of Shandong province.
