SHANGHAI, Oct 11 (SMM) – From January to August, profits slid 13.8% year on year across non-ferrous metals smelting and rolling industries above a designated size, showed data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
Processing industries, including smelting and rolling, across ferrous metals, saw their profits increase 80.6% on a yearly basis during the first eight months.
During the same period, profits across auto manufacturing fell 2.1%, while that of petroleum and natural gas extraction industries turned 5.4 times from a year ago.
