East Hope commissions 1-million-mt aluminium hydroxide capacity in Shanxi

SHANGHAI, Sep 30 (SMM) – East Hope Jinzhong Aluminium commissioned a production line that can produce 1 million mt of raw-material-grade aluminium hydroxide per year on Friday September 28, SMM learned.

Construction of the production line, located in Jinzhong, Shanxi, was kicked off on March 1, with investment of 1.4 billion yuan.

In April 2016, the company commissioned its first raw-material-grade aluminium hydroxide production line with annual capacity of 500,000 mt in the region. The other line that can produce 500,000 mt of flame-retardant-grade aluminium hydroxide per year was put into operation at the end of 2016.
