Copper inventories across warehouses of LME, COMEX, and SHFE shrank 13.82% year on year for the week ended Friday Sep 14

SHANGHAI, Sep 17 (SMM) – Copper inventories across LME, COMEX, and SHFE warehouses shrank 13.82% year on year for the week ended Friday September 14, to the lowest since the end of January, SMM research found. 

As of September 14, stocks across the three exchanges’ warehouses fell 24,900 mt from the start of the year, to 530,600 mt. LME copper inventory registered the third consecutive week of decline, and came in at 225,900 mt as of last Friday. COMEX copper stocks dipped for six straight weeks to 187,500 mt, and SHFE inventory declined for 11 weeks to 134,600 mt, SMM learned.
