Limited arrivals further lower aluminium inventories

Inventories of primary aluminium across eight consumption areas fell by 38,000 mt from last Thursday to 1.68 million mt

SHANGHAI, Sep 13 (SMM) – Primary aluminium inventories across eight consumption areas, including SHFE warrants, decreased by some 38,000 mt from Thursday September 6 to stand at 1.68 million mt as of September 13, SMM data showed.

Limited deliveries from smelters continued to lower stocks across those areas.

Details:

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 710,000 mt

Shanghai – 374,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 221,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 162,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 96,000 mt

Tianjin – 61,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 25,000 mt

Chongqing – 27,000 mt

[SMM Flash] SHFE data showed that on July 6, total registered warrant volume for cast aluminum alloy was 24,253 mt, down 1,232 mt from the previous trading day. By region, the registered volume was Shanghai (2,395 mt, down 208 mt), Guangdong (3,929 mt, down 150 mt), Jiangsu (4,947 mt, down 332 mt), Zhejiang (7,719 mt, down 481 mt), Chongqing (4,478 mt, down 61 mt), and Sichuan (785 mt, unchanged).
